Community Health Planning and Policy Development

The CHPPD Section influences the design of health systems and policies that are responsive to a changing society, by bringing together technical information and the expertise of communities, health professionals, business and government.

The Community Health Planning & Policy Development Section develops and advocates for health planning, policies and practices to promote health equity, community empowerment and social justice.

A dialog and action nexus for community health planning and policy leaders.

“Community,” “planning” and “policy development” are key words that draw members to the Section. We understand the importance and power of planning and policy development in inspiring partners to collaborate to work toward eliminating disparities and promoting healthy communities in public and private venues.

We are building a better APHA. Check back often to see how we’re expanding and improving our Section’s Web pages.
